Perspektif pelanggan dalam implementasi Total Qualitiy Management (TQM) di Pesantren Fath Sukawangi Bogor

The implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in an Islamic boarding school is a necessity because of the increasing need for quality education in various fields of life. A company must be very happy if it has qualified and professional employees because it will increase the work ethic and products in the company, as well as in Islamic educational institutions. This study aims to determine customer perceptions of the implementation of TQM at the Fath Islamic Boarding School. This qualitative research was carried out at the Fath Sukawangi Islamic Boarding School in Bogor by collecting data using observations and interviews with various related parties. This study found how the implementation of TQM at the Fath Islamic Boarding School as well as the perceptions of internal and external customers, namely: professional staff, students, guardians of students, and the surrounding community. AbstrakPenerapan Total Quality Management (TQM) dalam sebuah Lembaga Pendidikan pesantren adalah sebuah keniscayaan karena semakin tingginya kebutuhan mutu Pendidikan dalam berbagai bidang kehidupan. Sebuah perusahaan pasti sangat senang jika mempunyai karyawan yang mumpuni dan profesional karena akan menambah peningkatan pada etos kerja dan produk dalam perusahaannya, begitu pula dalam lembaga pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi pelanggan terhadap implementasi TQM pada Pesantren Fath. Penelitian yang menggunakan penelitian kualitatif ini dilaksanakan di Pesantren Fath Sukawangi Bogor dengan pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan observasi dan wawancara kepada berbagai pihak terkait. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan bagaimana penerapan TQM di Pesantren Fath serta persepsi pelanggan internal dan eksternal yaitu: staf profesional, peserta didik, wali peserta didik, dan masyarakat sekitar.
