Head of a Panther
View through Harvard Museums
Marble head of a panther carved with extensive use of the drill to indicate the eyes, nose, whiskers, muzzle, and mouth. Ears are battered and show little detail. Broken at the neck where several fragments were then reattached. Drill hole beneath for mounting.
There is much iron staining on break across bottom of neck.
