The work was originally included as an artistic and scenographic part for the exhibition STENARBETARE. An exhibition about the stone industry in Bohuslän. The exhibition was produced in 1977 by the Bohusläns Museum with the support of the Bohuslandstingets Culture Board, where Peder Josefsson made the scenography and artistic decoration.
The suite consists of the following works, consisting of Peder Josefsson’s paintings, drawings, graphics and sculpture; UM020784 - UM020802, UM026450 - UM026454 and UM27018.
An exhibition catalog was printed with history about the industry in texts and photographs, see the Library of the Bohusläns Museum. The poster of the exhibition is kept in the archive.
The exhibition came to fruition after the documentation project “Bohuslän’s social and business community,” part 2. The Stone Industry. The project was made in collaboration between the Museum of Bohusläns and the Ethnological Department of the University of Gothenburg and was funded by the Bohuslandstinget
