Last year, in celebration of the Costume Society’s 50th anniversary the 2015 Jubilee Awards funded one student’s research trip to China and enabled another to complete a full-time, three-month placement at the Victoria and Albert Museum of Childhood. 2016 will see the launch of some exciting new developments in the Society’s awards and information will appear first on the website — www.costumesociety.org.uk . Visitors to the website or those who follow us on Facebook and Twitter can read about the changing awards as soon as they are announced. The Patterns of Fashion and Conference Student Bursary Awards will continue as in previous years, and further information on the terms and conditions, application procedures and contact details for both awards can be found on the website.
