FIGURINE. Woman feeding an eagle. The subject is taken from a Greek tale of God; possibly Hebe, Zeus’s daughter. Gift Christmas Eve 1915 from Henrik de Maré. Etrurira (1768-). The factory was founded in 1769 by Josiah Wedgwood and his companion, Thomas Bentley. Wedgwood founded Etruria for the manufacture of more exclusive goods in neoclassical style.
