Kapucínské konventy v českých zemích za stavovského povstání (1618-1620). Jejich fungování a problémy v bouřlivé době

View through CrossRef
This study deals with the establishment of Bohemian-Austrian Capuchin Province in October 1618. It could be established thanks to the previously successful entrenchment of the order in the Bohemian-Austrian co-territory that was taking place already since 1599. Paradoxically, the promotion of the up-to-then Bohemian-Austrian General Commissariat to a full-fledged Province took place during the Bohemian Revolt in the Czech Lands. However, these events did not have any effect on the functioning of the Province at that time, since the provincial chapter based on which the Bohemian-Austrian Province was established as well as the general visitation that had preceded it somehow surprisingly took place without hindrance. The situation changed in 1619, though, that is at the time when the ongoing conflict was escalating – as a result, attacks on individual convents and friars increased in number which completely paralyzed the functioning of the Province.
