Breast image of the copper star Ludwig Buchhorn (1770-1856). Before Scripture. Buchhorn portrayed himself only once (1829) in the portrait type used here in contemporary clothing. Emma Matthieu develops this portrait type and complements it with a coat and cap. bought in 1897 by Kende for the Märkische Museum.
