YOUNG PIONEER LEADERS’ TRAINING IN THE TATAR REPUBLIC IN 1923-1926

In the article, the author, basing on the analysis of the publications of the magazine “Vozhatyi” (“Young Pioneer Leader”) and the archival documents of the Republic of Tatarstan, describes the general training level of Young Pioneer leaders in the Tatar Republic in 1923-1926. Owing to difficulties in understanding children’s psychology, urgent national issue, insufficient provision of methodological and ideological literature, especially in children’s and Young Pioneer workers’ native languages, lack of adequate material support, Young Pioneer leaders’ work quality was not high, and the leaders’ staff was inconstant.
