Boy's coat and cap; English, 1930s. Boy's grey tweed coat and cap; Boy's tailored double-breasted coat of grey tweed lined with grey rayon. The coat has a turn-down collar with notched lapels, wrist-length sleeves, and inset pockets (with self fabric flaps) at the waist; the skirt back is cut with a central box pleat beneath a half-belt of self fabric. The garment fastens across the chest front with two pairs of buttons and stitched buttonholes, and has a hanging loop of lining fabric in the neck. Matching eight-gore peaked cap, the cap fastening to the peak with a metal press stud at the centre front. Tailored tweed with a rayon lining.
