Plastic Literature

This chapter explores the concept of plastic literature. It starts with the ever-presentness and invasiveness of plastic in people's lives. Across the planets, plastics declared their presence in forms that are durable, malleable, degradable, nondegradable, sinister, and toxic. Similar to the transcultural and transnational dimensions of literary thinking work and performance, plastic is regarded as athletic as it travels through borders without regard. Moreover, plastic literature has its dharma in travel, estrangement, and nexus. The chapter also elaborates on the concept of plastic li(t)terization, which provides a fresh perspective on the ‘taking place’ within the complexity of time-curve, surface-depth, visibility of the invisible, and understanding.
