Four Volumes of Rare Comedias Sueltas in the Herzog August Bibliothek, Wolfenbüttel

The Herzog August Bibliothek in Wolfenbüttel owns four volumes of sueltas (Ll Mischbd 3 - 6) and their contents are listed herein. I have endeavored to identify these texts by consulting the standard collections and tools of scholarship listed in the bibliography; for the description of these texts, I have essentially followed traditional and established bibliographical norms which are given and indicated in these reference works. In the task of identifying the texts I have been successful in relatively few instances, and this is further indication of the rarity of these texts and the importance and the need to record and to describe them adequately. It is an honor and a privilege to recall a very special scholar, and it is fitting to dedicate this bibliographical study in memory of Professor Hannah E. Bergman, whose contribution to this area of scholarship established a standard and is of magisterial importance.
