FOS HUNDAR (guardian of Buddhas, in Chinese Fo ye, altar), a pair, on contoured footplate. The dogs standing, with an upturned head, one to the left side, the other to the right, grinding gap, outstanding ears, curled man with curls in the form of shells, tail with striped plume, on his legs wing-like ornaments. Over the back a thick saddle cover with carved six-sided pattern, in which rings, around the edge a meander yard; on the back hole and mark after holder for light. On dog and foot plate dark green glaze, bumpy, runn and finely cracked, on gap, tail and leg name light brown, saddle cover in darker brown. The estate light brown, heavy, visible interior (the animals hollow) and on the underside of the foot plate. On the underside of the footplate obscure Chinese scripts Fo dogs, Ming-dynasty.
