חורבת כור – 2011

During June-July 2011, the fourth season of excavations was conducted at Horbat Kur (License No. G-42/2011; map ref. 25050-60/75450-60), as part of the Kinneret Regional Project (KRP; HA-ESI 121, HA-ESI 123). The excavation, undertaken on behalf of Leiden, Helsinki and Bern universities, and underwritten by Leiden (Byvanck Funds), Helsinki and Bern universities, as well as the Schröter Foundation (Neustadt, Germany) and the Finnish Institute in the Middle East, was directed by J. Zangenberg, with the assistance of R. Bonnie (area supervision), T. Rassalle (assistant area supervisor), V. Alanko and S. Sahakari (registration), D. Kessi (surveying and database management), Y. Shivti'el (cave exploration), L. Butscher (field photography), Skyview company Ltd. (aerial photography), C. Lennert (drawing), I. Gutman (pottery restoration), P. Wyssmann (numismatics), S.
