The East Asian South Sea refers to the southern seas of the continental terrain, such as the South Sea of South India, the South Sea of Indochina, the South Sea of China, and the South Sea of the Korean Peninsula. Along the coastal route of the Southern Sea, the god of navigational protection is appearing at the key point of maritime traffic. The god of navigation is the Guanyin of the South Sea. The Southern Sea Avalokiteshvara is subject to Water Moon Avalokiteshvara(水月觀音) and White-Clothed Avalokitesvara(白衣觀音). Namhae Avalokiteshvara was created at the place where Namhae Gwaneum appeared on the Namhae route. The origin of Guanyin in the South Sea is Potalaka in South India.
