Samuel Egerton Brydges (1762-1837)

Abstract Samuel Egerton Brydges is remembered chiefly for his valuable work as an antiquarian, printer, and bibliographer. He also wrote poetry, fiction, and an idiosyncratic autobiography. Brydges was knighted in 1807 and made a baronet in 1814.
