The theme of death in the work of Gustav Mahler

Данная статья представляет собой опыт осмысления топоса смерти в симфоническом творчестве Густава Малера на биографическом, а также идейно‑концепционном уровнях. В статье анализируются жизненные обстоятельства и философские идеи, повлиявшие на танатологические воззрения Малера. В ней выявляются причины личностно-индивидуального характера, частично определившие повышенную восприимчивость Малера к феномену смерти, рассматриваются традиционные и новаторские черты мортальной топики в симфониях Малера в их эволюции. This article represents an experience of comprehending the topos of death in the symphonic work of Gustav Mahler at the biographical, ideological and conceptual levels. The article analyzes life circumstances, as well as philosophical ideas that influenced Mahler's thanatological views. It identifies the reasons for a personal and individual character that partially determined Mahler's increased susceptibility to the phenomenon of death, examines the traditional and innovative features of mortal topics in Mahler's symphonies in their evolution.
