Abstract The music at the beginning of the period testifies to a repertory’s slow emergence. At first, the Tini’s output was comprised mainly of reprints of senior and junior composers elsewhere (Palestrina, Merulo; Asola, Giovanelli) and several new editions by Varotto in Novara.
