Beschrieben werden vor allem Atemnot bei Belastung, Husten, Thoraxschmerzen oder Giemen. Diese Symptome können nicht nur die Gesundheit des Kindes/Jugendlichen negativ beeinflussen, sondern auch seine Freude an körperlicher Betätigung und am Training, sowie auch seine sportlichen Leistungen beeinträchtigen.
