Workplace communication and business success
View through CrossRef
Research objective: The aim of this article is to present the essence and importance of the communication process in the workplace, with particular emphasis on its impact on the success of a company. The study focuses on both internal communication (interactions between members of the organisation) and external communication (interactions between the organisation and its external environment).
Methodology: The research was based on literature review and analysis of secondary data sources, including scientific articles and reports relevant to workplace communication processes.
Main conclusions: Effective communication in the workplace—whether horizontal, vertical, hierarchical or inter-organisational—is a key factor in organisational success. It directly affects the efficiency of business operations. Poor communication can hinder performance, while effective communication enhances organisational functioning. Proper management of communication requires assessing existing practices and identifying factors that influence communication effectiveness at all levels.
Application of the study: The findings provide practical insights into how different types and levels of communication influence the performance of organisations. The article can serve as a basis for improving communication strategies in various types of enterprises.
Originality/Novelty of the study: Despite the broad existing literature on workplace communication, there is still a need for in-depth studies that link internal and external communication with organisational performance. This study contributes to filling that gap by offering a structured approach to understanding and analysing communication processes in the context of organisational effectiveness.
