The lithograph shows an Egyptian pharaoh in a chariot drawn by two horses approaching the Nile. The god Horus, in the form of a hawk, flies overhead. A large number of captives are attached to the chariot, and on the other side of the river the pharaoh is greeted enthusiastically by the admiring populace.
