Elastomeric Sheet Linings

Elastomeric sheet linings have been successully applied to steel equipment for the protection against corrosion and abrasion since the mid-thirties. While elastomeric linings are far from being the most common method for protecting steel equipment from corrosion, they do play a very important role in keeping the wheels of industry turning, especially, in the chemical and steel mill industries where strong chemical and highly abrasive materials are used. Elastomeric linings are used to protect such equipment as wet chlorine cells, chemical processing tanks, storage tanks, steel pickling tanks, railroad tank cars, plating tanks and fly ash disposal pipe lines in power plants.
