Правовое регулирование международного усыновления

The article examines the legal aspects of international adoption and the challenges faced by children during adaptation in foreign foster families. It is emphasized that differences in culture, language, and religious or ethical values create significant obstacles to the child’s integration into a new society. The author points out that existing international treaties and legal provisions contain contradictions and fail to ensure adequate protection of the child’s rights. Special attention is given to the need for improving adoption legislation, unifying legal norms, and strengthening control over children’s living conditions abroad. The article analyzes legislative initiatives, including the "Dima Yakovlev Law," and discusses current trends toward restricting international adoption. The conclusion highlights the necessity of reforming the legal framework of adoption and strengthening the state’s role in safeguarding the best interests of the child.
