Trees that are surrounded by thunderstorms present a great danger in the forest. The Semang therefore regard storms as a punishment of the god Karei for committed offenses. To appease him, they sacrifice him blood from the calves. Here Timun hurls water and blood towards the sky with a ladle of coconut shell.
