Effect Of Product and Service Quality On Customer Satisfaction

Abstract. This study examines the impact of product quality on customer satisfaction, with service quality serving as an intervening variable among international users of the Discord application. A quantitative approach employing a descriptive method and path analysis was utilized. Data were gathered through an online questionnaire distributed to Discord users across various countries. The findings indicate that product quality has a negative influence on service quality. Additionally, service quality adversely affects customer satisfaction, while product quality does not have a significant direct effect on customer satisfaction. Moreover, service quality does not effectively mediate the relationship between product quality and customer satisfaction. These results underscore the importance of aligning high product quality with sufficient service support to enhance overall customer satisfaction.   Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kualitas produk terhadap kepuasan pelanggan dengan kualitas layanan sebagai variabel intervening pada pengguna internasional aplikasi Discord. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif dan teknik analisis jalur. Data dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner secara daring kepada pengguna Discord dari berbagai negara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas produk berpengaruh negatif terhadap kualitas layanan. Selain itu, kualitas layanan juga berpengaruh negatif terhadap kepuasan pelanggan, sementara kualitas produk tidak menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan secara langsung terhadap kepuasan pelanggan. Di samping i Purposive samplingtu, kualitas layanan tidak mampu memediasi hubungan antara kualitas produk dan kepuasan pelanggan. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya keselarasan antara kualitas produk yang tinggi dan dukungan layanan yang memadai untuk menciptakan kepuasan pelanggan yang optimal.
