Аlexandr Ivanovich Ivanov, a prominent researcher doctor of agricultural sciences, and leading expert in the sphere of plant genetic resources, worked in the Department of Fodder Crops at VIR from 1963 through 1988. His contribution to the development of agrobiology, evolution, and breeding of forage crops served as a foundation for further research efforts of present-day scientists. A. I. Ivanov's scientific heritage is multifarious and retains its relevance. This book presents major milestones of his life and scientific activities, and the fullest list of his publications.
