Raffaelo Santis (1483 - 1520) Fresko “School of Athens” at the Stanza della Segnatura in the Vatican, Rome, was a model for Francesco Puttinati’s iron gas plaque. The board is labeled as follows: “RAPHAEL/SANTIVS/PINX” on the top left, “IN AEDIBVS/VATICA/NIS” on the top right, "DEDICATA AS.A.I.L. ARCHIDUCA RAINERI VICE RE DEL REGNO LOMB.VEN. '. She was exhibited with No. 833 at the Berlin Academy Exhibition in 1832. This plaque was dedicated to Archduke Rainer Joseph (1783 - 1853) and probably exists only in small print. The Archduke of Habsburg, a brother of Emperor Francis I, held the post of Vicekönig of the Lombard Venetian kingdom from 1814 to 1848.
