The Herodias from the Wing Altar of the Church of Florida in Cracow

The now baroque St. Florian Church was donated as a resting place for the relic of St. Florian and built between 1185 and 1216. The scene of the wing altar shows the dance of the daughter of Herodias (Salome) on the occasion of Herod’s birthday celebration.
