I live and paint in the Kent countryside. The coast is nearby and a lot of my work is inspired by the sea and the coast. Visiting the sea on winter days inspire many of my coastal paintings, the skies are cloudy with the sunlight glimmering through the clouds,
This leads to my interest in the light, using oil paints to highlight the glimmering tones within the painting. Inspired by the great master Turner and his use of light within the skies.
