In addition, Ukraine's banking sector is key to ensuring long-term growth and increasing the competitiveness of the national economy. This can be achieved through the effective redistribution of available, temporarily free, financial resources of both households and state-supported businesses. All this confirms the relevance of the study of the current state of the banking sector of Ukraine, assessing trends in its development and impact on the stability of the national economy in crisis. Assessment of the level of the banking sector in Ukraine shows that by the beginning of 2022 a strong enough base has been formed in the country to withstand modern economic challenges (COVID-19 pandemic, Russia's military invasion of Ukraine, global financial and food crisis).
