Leadless Pacemaker tine fracture and dislocation: two case reports

View through CrossRef
Abstract The rate of leadless pacemaker implantation is increasing worldwide. To date, there have been few reports of leadless pacemaker dislocation and extraction. This article describes two cases of leadless pacemaker tine fracture and dislocation. One case was an elderly male, and the pacemaker was found to have fallen off to the right pulmonary artery one month after surgery, and a new leadless pacemaker was implanted; the other was an elderly female, and the leadless pacemaker fell off to the right ventricle 9 months after surgery. The leadless pacemaker was removed, and a dual-chamber permanent pacemaker was implanted. After leadless pacemaker implantation, regular programming should be performed to detect abnormalities early and perform clinical intervention.
