The AD Exposome
View through CrossRef
Efforts to find human genes for Alzheimer Disease and for longevity have generally neglected environmental influences. Brain aging and ADRDA may be understood in the AD Exposome framework, which includes external and endogenous interactions from embryo to old age (Finch and Kulminski 2019; Finch and Haghani 2021). Environmental factors in brain aging and longevity are as strong as common aging genes illustrated by the 15-year difference in the onset of dementia across SES (Finch 2023). Gene-environment interactions merit further attention.
