NOTE: An inscription in Randall's hand says the drawing is from the Cabinet of the Marquis d'Allegre whose collection was dispersed in 1849. The Marquis d'Aligre's auction occurred in 1849 (also 1848 and 1854). The estate of the Marquis d'Allegre was in 1872 no record of the drawing was found in 1849 or 1872 auction catalogues available.
