MHD-Instabilitäten im Verdampfungsstadium elektrisch stoßaufgeheizter Drähte

The well known striation effect observable during the evaporation process of exploding wires is of MHD-origin even in cases of very fine striation structures. This has been proved by application of an axial magnetic field which has a considerable influence on the effect.
