Če želi organizacija, ki se ukvarja z izobraževalno dejavnostjo, doseči svoje cilje, se mora (tako kot organizacije iz drugih vej) organizirati ta ko, da obvladuje tehnične, administrativne in človeške dejavnike, ki vplivajo na kakovost storitev. Vse to obvladovanje mora biti usmerjeno v zmanjševanje, odpravljanje in preprečevanje po mankljivosti v kakovosti. Eden od načinov je tudi uporaba standardov skupine ISO 9000. To so standardi, ki govorijo o sistemih kakovosti (sistem kakovosti je sistem obvladovanja poslovanja.
