Lev Mikhailovich Sukhotin as a public figure

в статье рассматривается общественная деятельность генеалога и историка Льва Михайловича Сухотина. На материале источников личного происхождения и официальных документов показан вклад историка в развитие самоуправления в Новосильском уезде Тульской губернии, его участие в работе Земгора по организации снабжения армии во время Первой мировой войны, а также в деятельности различных учреждений Белого движения и эмиграции. Привлечение эго-источников позволяет выявить мотивацию действий Л.М. Сухотина, а также составить представление о его общественно-политических взглядах. Интерес к аграрному вопросу, желание участвовать в его разрешении и заявленная Л.М. Сухотиным аполитичность собственной общественной деятельности позволяют дополнить представление о настроениях в среде русского дворянства и эмиграции. Немаловажным является обращение к подробностям работы Л.М. Сухотина в Земгоре, что позволяет на конкретных примерах оценить деятельность этой организации. Кроме того, большой интерес представляет общественное значение педагогической деятельности Л.М. Сухотина в эмиграции, направленной на развитие русско-сербской гимназии, а также на сохранение русской культуры и адаптацию детей эмигрантов. the article examines the social activities of genealogist and historian Lev Mikhailovich Sukhotin. Based on the material of sources of personal origin and official documents, author analyzes L.M. Sukhotin's contribution to the development of self-government in the Novosilsky district of the Tula province, his participation in the work of Zemgor on the organization of army supplies during the First World War. As well the article describes L.M. Sukhotin's participation in the work of various organizations of the White Movement and Russian emigration. The involvement of ego sources allows us to identify the motivation of the historian's actions, as well as to get an idea of his socio-political views. L.M. Sukhotin's interest in the agrarian issue, the desire to participate in its resolution and the apolitical nature of his own public activities, declared by historian, allow us to supplement the idea of the mood among the Russian nobility and emigration. It is important to pay attention to the details of L.M. Sukhotin's work at Zemgor, which allows us to evaluate the activities of this organization using specific examples. In addition, the public importance of L.M. Sukhotin's pedagogical activity in the Russian-Serbian gymnasium is of great interest. This activity is aimed at preserving Russian culture and adapting the children of emigrants.
