“Saees”

View through Harvard Museums
Set against a plain background is a male figure. He wears a black long-sleeved shirt and a white dhoti-like bottom that hits just above the knee. In the crook of his right arm is a pink-yellow scarf. He carries in his right hand a fly whisk and in his left, which is extended out, a letter. He is barefoot, has a long mustache, and hair that just hits the bottom of the neck. He wears a white turban and a rope over his right shoulder. Underneath the depiction, written in cursive and black ink is: “Saees”. Company School.
