Of slightly tapering cylindrical form raised on three cast couchant lion and ball feet, the base applied with two bands of ropetwist, the ribbed tubular scroll handle with escutcheon-shaped terminal, the hinged low domed cover with ropetwist border and cast couchant lion thumbpiece; the front later engraved with a coat-of-arms, helm, supporters and motto within foliate scroll mantling.
