These glasses contain a secret: they fluoresce in the UV-light. In ultraviolet light, the parts of sunlight that are invisible to the human eye are transformed into yellow and green light. The fascination of this made Urangl populist throughout Europe In addition to the production of compressed glass, the classical art of glass blowing continued into the 20th century. During the interwar period, uranium glass was refined with fine engravings, loops and fillings.
