Winged Goddess with Child in Chariot Drawn by Goats

View through Harvard Museums
Winged female figure, possibly Aphrodite, holding a child and riding in a goat-drawn chariot. Figures and chariot appear in a frontal view behind the goats that are in profile, making it look as though they are turning a sharp corner. Base is slightly knobbed, back is unmodeled and has no vent hole. Very indistinct modeling. Stuffed with paper for support. Traces of red are visible on the child, goat, and background. Traces of blue found on wings and chariot. (Far left in photograph) Hard pink clay; remains of white slip; traces of iron oxide red and Egyptian blue.
