Broad disc mouth, sloping inwards; short, narrow neck; broad ribbon handle from lip to shoulder; globular body; rounded, somewhat flattened base. Hard, buff clay; matt, buff slip; semilustrous, black to light brown and matt, red paint. Lip disc with three narrow bands on either side of reserved, originally probably black, band; rim edge and upper handle encircled by band; tongues on shoulder; two narrow bands below them; on body opposite shoulder, avian with outstretched wings (much paint gone); incised details on wings; red dot below the creature’s body; base encircled by three broad lines, one broad band and three broad lines around bottom centre.
