Strategi Pengembangan Ekonomi Sosial Masyarakat: Kasus Kampung Siepkosi Kabupaten Jayawijaya

This research aims to identify and analyze strategies for developing the local economic potential of the Siepkosi Village community, Jayawijaya Regency, including supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of these strategies. This research also focuses on understanding the main problems faced in economic development in the region, so that effective strategic steps can be formulated to improve community welfare. The research method used was a qualitative approach with a case study research type. Data were obtained through observation, structured interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that Siepkosi Village has great natural resource potential, but its utilization is still limited due to low access to technology and information. In addition, local cultural values such as cooperation and gotong royong are important social capital in local economic development. The main obstacles include the lack of training and supporting facilities from the government, as well as the lack of utilization of digital technology in marketing production products. The results of this research emphasize the importance of cooperation between the community, government, and related parties to optimize local economic potential through training, provision of tools, and business coaching. These efforts are expected to improve the welfare of the community and make Siepkosi Village a successful example of local economic development based on local culture and resources.
