IMPLEMENTASI HOTSPOT DENGAN PENGELOLAAN USER MANAGER DAN BANDWIDTH MENGGUNAKAN MIKROTIK RB941-2ND (STUDI KASUS SMK KESEHATAN BHAKTI KENCANA JATIWANGI)

SMK Kesehatan Bhakti Kencana Jatiwangi merupakan sekolah kejuruan swasta yang berada di Kecamatan Jatiwangi Kabupaten Majalengka, SMK Kesehatan Bhakti Kencana Jatiwangi sudah memiliki fasilitas jaringan wireless dari ISP (Internet Service Provider) dari telkom dengan kecepatan 50 Mbps akan tetapi dalam penggunaan akses internet nya masih belum optimal karena perancangan arsitektur jaringannya, serta penyebaran sinyal belum merata di beberapa ruangan terutama area blank spot. Kendala yang dihadapi tingginya user serta akses yang tidak di batasi sehingga  terjadinya penumpukan pengguna yang tidak terkontrol dengan baik dan belum adanya pembagian bandwidth yang merata sehingga terjadi kegagalan ketika menjelajahi internet, mengunduh dan mengunggah karena banyak user yang menggunakan bandwidth secara bersamaan sehingga terjadi tarik menarik bandwidth. Maka dari itu salah satu cara untuk mengatasi permasalahan di atas dengan pengelolaan user dan manajemen bandwidth menggunakan mikrotik RB941-2nD. Sehingga administrator dapat meminimalisir terjadinya penumpukan user serta tarik menarik bandwidth, Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dari pengelolaan user dan manajemen bandwidth telah dibuat 2 user profile untuk siswa dan guru dari tiap user profile di beri rate limit agar jaringan berjalan lancar dan stabil sesuai kebutuhan masing-masing pengguna. Kata Kunci— Hotspot, User Manager, Bandwidth Abstract — Bhakti Kencana Jatiwangi Health Vocational School is a private vocational school located in Jatiwangi District, Majalengka Regency. SMK Kesehatan Bhakti Kencana Jatiwangi already has a wireless network facility from Telkom's ISP (Internet Service Provider) with a speed of 50 Mbps. But the use of internet access is still not optimal because of the design of the network architecture, and the spread of the signal is not evenly distributed in several rooms, especially the blank spot area. The obstacles faced are the high number of users and access that is not restricted so that there is a buildup of users that is not controlled properly and there is no equal distribution of bandwidth resulting in failures when surfing the internet, downloading and uploading because many users use bandwidth simultaneously so that there is a tug of war bandwidth. Therefore, one way to overcome the above problems is user management and bandwidth management using the RB941-2nD proxy, so that administrators can minimize the occurrence of user buildup and bandwidth tug of war. The results of the research that has been carried out on user management and bandwidth management have created 2 user profiles for students and teachers, each user profile is given a rate limit so that the network runs smoothly and stably according to the needs of each user.
