Designs (14) for embroidered borders featuring stylised flowers and scallop-shell shapes, ca. 1836, by Sarah Bland (1810-1905). Designs (14) in pen and ink, pencil and one coloured with watercolour of stylised floral borders. Three of the designs feature scalloped edges. The largest of the designs is drawn vertically near the bottom of the page and features purple flowers, which is decorated with twentieth century watercolour and coloured pencil crayon, springing from scallop-shell shapes. The pencil design by the bottom left hand corner also features a stylised scallop-shell shape but this is drawn horizontally on the page. Pen and ink, pencil and twentieth-century watercolour and coloured pencil crayon on tracing paper.
