Brooch, consisting of a Dalmatian dog head of plastic, with underneath a black-grey dress in kimono shape, crocheted. The figure refers to an umpire. Two identical square flags, white with a pink circle, hang from his arms pointing left and right. They are in beadwork. Edition 6. FL embroidered on the back. Felieke van der Leest quotes: 'I started with the "Referee-San" brooch. After my second visit to Japan in 2007 I knew that I wanted to do something with a kimono. And for a long time I wanted to use this Dalmatian dog. I don't know how this design process works in my head but one day there was a connection.
