First, it addresses the context, purpose, and function of art education in nonprofit organizations to examine how art education in these settings is structured and developed. Second, it discusses the ways in which multiple stakeholders who are aligned with these organizations influence the focus of the art education curriculum and policies from a number of perspectives, including community, cultural, and social contexts; and identifies diverse factors both within and outside organizations that create and shape the dynamics of art education in communities. Third, it describes typical types of art curricula in nonprofit organizations.
