Abstract
Peroxisome biogenesis disorders are progressive disorders characterized by loss of multiple peroxisomal metabolic functions. These diseases, consisting of 12 complementation groups, are inherited in an autosomal recessive manner and are caused by defects in peroxisome assembly.
