The article deals with topical issues of strategic planning, forecasting and foresight research in order to better understand these categories and determine their features in the modern world. Strategic planning is an important process that is constantly changing. Therefore, strategic innovation, forecasting and foresight research should become a cornerstone in an ever-changing world. In market situations and in a competitive environment, there is a need for new approaches to the process and principles of developing effective strategies. Extremely rapid changes in the economic environment, associated with the development of information technology, business globalization and many factors, increase the importance of strategic planning, forecasting and the development of foresight research. The purpose of the article, based on a theoretical study of the key components - strategic planning, forecasting and foresight technologies, is to determine the main differences, features and the need for their close interaction.
