L’article interroge le destin du concept de séduction. Dans son acception psychanalytique traditionnelle, la séduction, héritière de Freud, est intimement liée à la sexualité infantile. La relative désuétude que connaît son utilisation serait en relation avec certaines résistances contre-transférentielles suscitée par la sexualité infantile qui lui est associée. L’article introduit l’intérêt d’une autre acception psychanalytique de la séduction, la séduction narcissique.
