SKÅLFAT, 2 pcs., with decorations in underglaze blue with parkland with figures and a gazebo of leaves, the so-called Bersåkontraten, after a model of the Dutch artist Cornelis Pronk. Around the outer edge a gold stripe. On the outside stretcher of hanging tabs. The Dutchman Cornelis Pronk (1691-1759) resided in Amsterdam and worked as a cartoonist, graphic artist and painter. He was employed by the Dutch Cheese Indian Company in 1734-37 to perform models for Chinese porcelain. The Parasol pattern is the best known of his designs. Plates, a pair. Qing-dynasty, Qianlong.
