In October 2013, a salvage excavation was conducted southwest of Tel
'Erani near Kiryat Gat (Permit No. A-6917; map ref. 17950/61335; Fig. 1),
prior to the installation of a water pipe. The excavation, undertaken on
behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and financed by the Mekorot
Company, was directed by V. Lipshits (field photography), with the
assistance of Y. Al-'Amor (administration), S. Gal (surveying and drafting)
and S. Ganor and Y. Lender.
